Hello everyone! We are doing a huge flyering campaign TOMORROW, Friday, January 18th, 2013. We’ll be dropping packets of winterizing, mold remediation, legal, and open medical clinic and pharmacy flyers in people’s mailboxes. We are pushing the winterizing, especially, in advance of the cold weather approaching. We need volunteers to go door-to-door with these flyers Friday and Saturday, as well as volunteers we will train in winterizing techniques so that they can teach folks who come in for supplies over the weekend how to use them, as well as help folks do the work, as needed. Spanish, Polish, Russian, Cantonese and Mandarin speakers would be an added benefit. Comfortable walking shoes and warm clothing are necessary. We are located at the YANA/Restore the Rock Volunteer Intake in the “Signs” storefront at 112-22 Rockaway Beach Boulevard (@Beach 113th Street). The contact for this is 347-644-YANA (347-644-9262).
